Slater Yohey of Sparks is in jail today after leading Reno Police officers on a wild chase through Sparks early this morning.
At about 1:15 a.m. officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on East 9th Street. Victims were robbed of a blue Ford escort and a number of personal items.
The stolen vehicle was spotted and stopped by police on Oddie Boulevard and El Rancho Drive. The suspect took off and a chase ensued.
The vehicle later crashed and the suspect fled on food, crossing I-80, which in turn lead to the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) shutting down the interstate.
Yohey was caught by NHP troopers. He was charged with false imprisonment, larceny of a motor vehicle and armed robbery.
