CARE Chest Event Brings in More than $24,000 for Low-Income Nevadans

bacon-300x164-8869976-4005685CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada raised more than $24,000 during the Bacon, Bourbon and Brews fundraising event June 13, 2015.

The money raised will help support CARE Chest’s free medical resource programs for Northern Nevadans.

The event featured bacon-inspired culinary creations, prepared by the Peppermill, paired with beers from local craft brewers.

“The Peppermill took this event to the next level with amazing food and a great atmosphere,” said Patti Meals, CARE Chest executive director. “We are thankful for the community of friends and businesses that support this fundraiser to help us serve thousands of Northern Nevada families each year.”
