RENO – The Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced today that Kate Patay, CPCE, executive director of Sales & Marketing of Creative Coverings, will present  “The Psychology of Color” May 14 at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. Attendees will learn how audiences react to color in relation to special events, brands and social media.

“There’s a reason the ‘what color is this dress’ question swept through social media like wildfire,” said Patay, CPCE. “Color affects us powerfully, and communicators can use this to their advantage.”

The presentation will detail the psychology of color in special events and branding, the incorporation of trends into communications and fundraising efforts and ways to justify use of color for budgets or to clients. Patay, CPCE, will also dive into why color means so much and how to harness the right trends.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for networking, and Patay, CPCE, will begin the presentation at noon.

Pricing is $20 for members, $30 for non-members. Students can attend for $15. Those interested can learn more online and register at www.prsasierra.org.
