CARSON CITY, Nev. — Nevada Magazine’s inaugural Silver State photo scavenger hunt is underway, giving adventurers a chance to discover some of the most exciting destinations in Nevada, and a chance to win a Land Rover Wheels adventure. It’s not too late to participate — the scavenger hunt continues through July 31.

Nevada Magazine has split the state into two zones — northern and southern — and has chosen 14 notable places in each. Participants simply pick a zone, visit 10 of the 14 locations in that zone, snap a photo of themselves holding the May/June 2015 issue of Nevada Magazine at each location, and email all 10 photos to [email protected]. The May/June issue of Nevada Magazine contains the official list of destinations that must be visited. Click here for a list of the magazine’s retail locations.

By submitting all 10 photos, participants will be entered to win one of two Land Rover Wheels events. The adventure puts a lucky winner from each zone in the driver’s seat of a Land Rover vehicle with the opportunity to navigate some of Nevada’s backcountry. Trained technicians will be on hand to assist drivers and breakfast and lunch will be catered.

Nevada Magazine also has created a special line of Silver State Scavenger Hunt apparel to accompany explorers on their Nevada journeys. Visit cafepress.com/nevadamagazine to check out the gear that best fits your adventure.

Participants can share their adventures on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by using #nvmaghunt to document their travels.

The scavenger hunt officially closes at 5 p.m. July 31. Visit nevadamagazine.com/scavengerhunt for complete rules.

For more than 75 years, Nevada Magazine has been telling the Silver State’s story — in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe and beyond.
