Celebrate Spring with New Vendors and Events at the Great Western Marketplace

Date:

Since opening over the 2014 holiday season, Great Western Marketplace—northern Nevada’s only year-round, indoor shopping experience that showcases local and regional entrepreneurs—has added dozens of new retailers, food purveyors and service providers to its initial array. Additionally, fun events for the whole family will take place regularly this spring.

Among many others, recent additions to the Great Western Marketplace (GWM) include K-9 Games, an all-inclusive, indoor dog training facility; Fantasy Realm Gifts and Collectibles, which features intricately detailed, hand-painted figurines of the fantasy, steampunk and other realms plus incense; Mindful Images Photography led by Andy Horstmanshoff and Kevin Cooper, who skillfully capture northern Nevada’s picturesque landscape and all it encompasses; and Tahoe Kitchen Company, which provides exclusive, professional cooking tools and ingredients.

Another small business adding to the mix is Gauler Realty, headed by Carole Gauler. “When I was told about the opportunity to have a space at GWM, I chose to participate in their unique concept,” Gauler exudes. “My expectations were, and still are, giving Gauler Realty’s services additional exposure to the public; my expectations have not only been met, they’ve been exceeded.”

Now with nearly 100 diverse vendor studios, Liberty Fine Art Gallery and an upcoming, year-round home design showcase within the 167,000-square-foot building, kicking off regular events this spring is their next step. From family fun, to emergency preparedness, to opportunities to peruse thundering two- and four-wheeled works of art, GWM will keep its visitors entertained all season.
