The Nevada Women’s Fund announced today that its 2015 grant application process is now open. Organizations that match the Nevada Women’s Fund priority funding areas are encouraged to visit nevadawomensfund.org to explore the requirements and complete an application. The grant deadline is June 12, 2015.
“Nevada Women’s Fund grant dollars have assisted a wide range of meaningful community groups,” said Isabelle Rodriguez Wilson, CEO of the Nevada Women’s Fund. “Programs that are of particular importance to women and children stand out in the grant application process. These include initiatives such as the prevention of violence against women and children, support services for the disabled, education and mentoring programs, health care and medical assistance to low income, minority families and/or senior citizens.”
The mission of the Nevada Women’s Fund is to strengthen the community by empowering women to improve their lives and those of their families. In 2014, the Nevada Women’s Fund granted over $103,000 in the form of community grants, donor directed dollars and NWF Giving Circle contributions. Awardees included organizations such as CAAW, CARE Chest, the Assistance League of Reno Sparks, Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living and Access to Healthcare.
