15 Free or Low-Price Screenings at Community Health Fair: Get Details Here

Northern Nevada Medical Center is hosting a community health fair on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 7:30am – 11 a.m. in the main lobby of the hospital. Member of the public can receive free or low-cost preventative health screenings and education. A full menu of health screenings available includes::

  1. Blood pressure: FREE
  2. Body fat screening: FREE
  3. “Ask the Nurse”: FREE
  4. Complete blood count: $15
  5. Heart electrical activity and overall heart function (EKG): $35
  6. Heart and vascular disease risk (High sensitivity C-reactive protein): $25
  7. Lipid profile (cholesterol, triglycerides and HDL/LDL ratio): $20
  8. Complete chemistry panel with report on 14 blood chemistry levels: $20
  9. Peripheral artery disease (Ankle-brachial index test): $25
  10. Prostate cancer testing (PSA): $35
  11. Routine dietary screening for diabetes (glycosylated hemoglobin): $30
  12. Stroke risk (Carotid artery ultrasound screening): $40
  13. Thyroid function: $35
  14. Thyroid stimulating hormone, TSH, for over- or underactive thyroid: $35
  15. Vitamin D deficiency (Vitamin D 25 Hydroxy): $40
