Cyber-security company expected to bring 30 new jobs to area

Date:

BlackRidge Technology, a cyber-security company from Santa Clara, Calif., announced today that it is moving its headquarters and operations to Reno.

The company said it plans to hire 30 full-time employees and create a new cyber security solutions lab in the area.

The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) and Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA) assisted BlackRidge in the relocation and its application for state incentives.

This announcement was made at The Chamber Directions 2015 event held today at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino where Bruce Fingles, senior vice president of BlackRidge Technology was introduced.

“The Nevada business friendly tax structure and the availability of incentives made it an easy business decision to expand our presence in the state and relocate our headquarters to Reno,” said Bob Graham, CEO of BlackRidge Technology. “We are pleased with the level of talented local resources that are available to support the growth of our operations and the creation of a new cyber security solutions lab.”

The company was founded in 2010 and has leased space in the South Meadows area of Reno where construction on the new cyber lab has began, scheduled to be in operation within a few months.
