Miles Construction has started a second phase of construction to complete the renovation of 157 rooms at Whitney Peak Hotel, downtown Reno’s non-gaming hotel. The project is expected to be completed in the late spring.

The construction company is ensuring the rooms are up to code and completed on schedule. All guest rooms on floors five through 10 of the hotel will be remodeled, bringing the total rooms renovated to 310. The rooms incorporate the hotel’s innovative design, featuring the outdoor lifestyle with natural elements and local art.

“Whenever I get the chance to ask guests what they think of this building, they say they are in awe,” said Jerry Deines, vice president and general superintendent for Miles Construction. “This non-smoking, non-gaming hotel was just exactly what downtown Reno needed, and Miles Construction is excited to be able to say we had a hand in it.”

Miles Construction has also begun renovating the third-floor conference level, which includes venues for weddings, meetings and banquets with space for up to 500 people.
