Reno Little Theater announces new partnership with Ageless Repertory Theatre

Date:

Reno Little Theater (RLT) announced today a new partnership with Ageless Repertory Theatre (ART). RLT will be the new host and permanent home of ART rehearsals and public performances beginning January 2015.

Under the Artistic Direction of Len Overholser, Ageless Repertory Theatre has been producing reader’s theatre for Northern Nevada audiences since 2000. ART was founded to provide opportunities for senior citizen actors to explore and perform engaging plays for their peers during the weekday.

During ART’s search for a new venue, Reno Little Theater offered its services and facility. Both organizations agreed that RLT’s 100-seat black box theater, with free parking, is a perfect fit for ART.

With the support of RLT’s full-time staff of three, Ageless Rep will continue its tradition of presenting free staged readings.

Reno Little Theater said it is delighted to welcome the “ART Players” to their facility, as many ART actors have graced RLT’s main stage in the past five decades.

ART’s first performances at Reno Little Theater, of Rick Abbot’s Play On!, will be Tuesday, January 13 and Friday, January 16 at 1 p.m. There will be a reception following both performances. Admission is free. Donations are accepted at the door to benefit Ageless Repertory Theatre.

Reno Little Theater is located at 147 E. Pueblo Street. Information: Visit www.renolittletheater.org or call775-813-8900.
