Professional development short courses offered by Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno provide University-quality educational opportunities to build your career and skills in a wide range of management and business topics, to keep on the leading edge of the latest trends and industry-specific issues, and to hone existing talents for career advancement. The noncredit courses may be taken independently and require no formal admission to the University. Most courses are held at the University’s Redfield Campus, 18600 Wedge Parkway in south Reno, and several are held on the University’s main campus, as noted.

Select courses have been approved for CEUs in a number of disciplines and/or for recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR or GPHR (Professional, Senior Professional or Global Professional in Human Resources) recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). All the in-demand Adobe software courses have been developed and are now offered online by Extended Studies, in professional graphics, photography and video production (After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere and Photoshop), providing opportunities to build a solid knowledge base and advance existing skills while studying anytime and anywhere.
