Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested two residentialburglary suspects Wednesday after the suspects returned to the scene of the crime while deputies were still there conducting an investigation.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2015, deputies responded to the area of Midnight Court and Lightning Drive in Sun Valley on a report of a residential burglary in progress.

Once on scene, deputies discovered evidence that a burglary had occurred. Fortunately, an alert citizen who had initially reported the suspicious activity was also able to provide investigators with a detailed description of the suspects and suspect vehicle.

While deputies were still on scene conducting the investigation, they spotted a vehicle matching the suspect description approaching the area. Deputies initiated a stop on the vehicle, identified the occupants as suspects in the burglary and discovered items related to the burglary as well as burglary tools in the vehicle.

Both occupants were taken into custody. The suspects are identified as Patrick Leon, age 18, of Sparks and a male juvenile.

At this time, there is no evidence that the suspects have been involved in additional burglaries.
