Body language expert speaks at WIN breakfast

head_shot-200x300-6412569-6278567Body language expert, Christopher Ulrich is the keynote speaker this month at the Western Industrial Nevada (WIN) Breakfast meeting held on Friday, January 30 at 7 a.m. in the Capri Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort and Casino.

Sponsored by Immunize Nevada, the networking event will feature Ulrich’s presentation, “Position Yourself to WIN! How to Effectively Read Body Language, Build Trust and Rapport, and Ask Powerful Questions to Get the Truth in Any Situation.”

Ulrich, founder of CU in the Moment, has a multidisciplinary approach to educating clients about body language, building rapport and trust, detecting deception, and elite communication and presentation skills. His audiences benefit from his professional background as a body language expert, improvisational actor, personal coach and political consultant.

Ulrich is a senior instructor at the Body Language Institute where he trains executives, sales people, government staffers, lobbyists, and small business entrepreneurs to transform their presence. He also currently serves as a consultant to Edelman Public Relations as part of its creative content team for select clients. He has appeared as a communication and body language expert for CNN, MSNBC, Headlines News, Dr. Oz, Dr. Drew, Nancy Grace, Washington’s USA Channel 9, Let’s Talk Live and more.

For over eighteen years, Ulrich has worked in politics and government where he has served as a domestic policy advisor to Vice President Al Gore, issue director to vice presidential candidate Joe Lieberman, political analyst at the Embassy of Japan and effectiveness consultant for Energy Secretary Chu.

Ulrich is also a regular in DC Improv Comedy shows with troupes “Jive Turkey” and “Killer Bee.” He was a cast member in the DC based comedy pilot, Capital Gym, and has appeared on the Food Network’s Dinner Impossible with Chef Robert Irvine. Ulrich studied improvisational comedy at the Uprights Citizens Brigade, The Magnet Theater in Chicago and Los Angeles, The Washington Improv Theater and DC Improv.

WIN holds monthly breakfast meetings, generally on the last Friday of every month, at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino beginning at 7 a.m. Please RSVP to 775-359-7117. She has a bachelor’s degree in American history, with a minor in American Indian studies, from San Francisco State University, and has a master’s degree in public administration from Sonoma State University. She enjoys training a variety of martial arts.
