Mountain Biking event held at Red Springs Wilderness Study Area on November 15 at 9 am

us-doi-blm-logo-11-150x150-2535958-7464015ELKO, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, & Cedar Creek Clothing will be sponsoring a mountain biking trip along the border of Red Springs Wilderness Area on November 15 for intermediate riders. The 18-mile loop is on gravel roads and covers a variety of conditions including flat, curvy, and rolling hills with plenty of nice scenery along the way.

Registration begins at 9 am and the actual bike ride begins at 9:30 am. A shuttle will follow the riders to pick up bikes and bikers that need a lift. Water and refreshments will be provided at wait stations along the way.

Directions: Take SR 228 South towards Jiggs. Turn onto the road going to South Fork Reservoir. Go past the Reservoir toward Lucky Nugget. Then go to Dixie Creek Rd. Follow it to the bike ride Start/Finish line. There will be a sign along the way from the causeway.
