Date:

William_Wynn wynn_william-6270144-1209413In March of 2014, the Tennessee District Attorney’s General Office, 13th Judicial District, contacted the Reno Police Department regarding a fugitive from their jurisdiction wanted for vehicular homicide.

Efforts to locate the defendant were unsuccessful at that time.

Yesterday, detectives developed information that the defendant was residing at 170 N. Sierra St..  The defendant was checked in under another name and different date of birth, but his identity was confirmed by photograph.

When the detectives attempted to contact him in his room he refused to open the door and made threats involving a firearm.  SWAT and CINT (Negotiators) were called in to assist and it was discovered that the defendant did indeed have a firearm.

The defendant emerged from the room after about five hours and was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Washoe County jail as a fugitive, where he will await extradition proceedings.

Defendant:  Wynn, William Douglas.  DOB:  12-1-1942.  Charges:  Fugitive from other state.
