Driver seriously injured in Plumb Lane collision, rollover

1300123_fff2-7913464-9355246A 30-year-old woman reportedly driving at a high rate of speed and weaving around other vehicles on Plumb Lane this afternoon received a serious injury to her hand when she ran a red light at Plumas Street and her 2001 Grand Jeep Cherokee was hit by a 2003 PT Cruiser.

As a result of the collision the Jeep lost its right rear tire and rolled several times. While it was rolling, it struck a parked 1994 Ford Ranger and sent it into the front yard of a residence on Plumb Lane.

Because of the injury, the Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and took over the investigation. The driver of the PT Cruiser did not receive any injuries. This accident is still under investigation and at this time RPD is unsure whether the female was experiencing a medical event prior to the incident.
