Charlene Bybee files for Sparks City Council

bybee-200x300-5141520-1056374Charlene Bybee, a life-long Sparks resident and an active community volunteer, filed today for Sparks City Council Ward 4, the seat being vacated by Mike Carrigan, who is term limited.

Bybee is an active member of the Sparks  community. She has volunteered thousands of hours to community, including serving at PTA president at her sons’ schools and being on the Sparks 2040 Master Plan Steering Committee.

“I love the family-oriented atmosphere in Sparks,” says Bybee. “I want to protect the parks and facilities that make Sparks such a great place to live.”

Charlene was raised in Sparks by her parents, Ralph and Kathy Thomas, with her five siblings. She and her husband Bern raised their two boys, Eric and Alex, in Sparks.

Charlene has worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines for 37 years, a job that gives her communications and people skills that will be useful on the City Council.

“I’m already walking neighborhoods and talking to voters,” said Bybee. “Filing today is the next step in my campaign, and I am excited to address the concerns and issues that face Sparks.”
