Tax help available at libraries

It’s that time of year again – tax season! AARP and VITA/TCE Volunteer Preparers have partnered with the Washoe County Library System to offer free tax help to low to moderate income taxpayers of any age (with special attention to those 60 years of age or older for AARP).

  • Downtown Reno Library: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., through April 10. First come first served.
  • Northwest Reno Library: Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., through April 10.  Appointments by calling 856-9591.
  • Spanish Springs Library: Thursdays, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., through April 10. Appointments accepted, call 424-1800.
  • North Valleys Library: Thursdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., through April 12.  Appointments in person or call 972-0281.
  • Sierra View Library: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., through April 15. Appointments made in person.
  • South Valleys Library: Wednesdays*, 4-6 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., through April 12.  Appointments in person or call 851-5190.*No tax assistance available on Wednesday, March 5*
  • Sparks Library: Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., through April 12.  Appointments in person or call 352-3200.
