MOANA NURSERY NEWS RELEASE
March 6: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Terrarium Workshop. Bring a friend and have some fun creating. Join Moana Nursery’s Seasonal Planting Specialist Leslie Richardson and Interior Decorator and Moana gift buyer Melody Arnold to learn about the care and charm of terrariums plus the wide array of containers and plants that can be used. Best of all you’ll learn how to make one of your very own. Workshop fee of $15 per person includes soil, charcoal and moss. All other supplies you’ll need to create your very own terrarium will be available for you to select and purchase during the workshop.
Leslie is a master gardener who received her training in both floral design and horticulture form Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. Containers are her specialty. She loves trying out new plant combinations and getting people excited about bringing the outdoors inside. Melody has been buying home and garden items in Reno for over 15 years; she travels the country to find unique and on trend treasures.
Must sign up and pay workshop fee of $15 in advance at our Moana Lane store or you can call 825-0600 and register with your credit card. (No shows will not be refunded their money.) Class size is limited to 20. Adults only. Registration closes March 5 or when full, whichever comes first. Workshop is held at the Moana Lane store.
March 20: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Smashing Succulent Gardens & Luscious Living Walls Workshop. Bring a friend for a girls night out or date night? Our dynamic workshop duo of Leslie and Melody is back to share their passion for succulents and show you how they can be used in simply smashing dish gardens or a luscious living wall. Workshop fee of $18 per person includes, soil, rock and one plant. You may bring your own shallow container up to 12 inches in diameter if you prefer; containers will be available for purchase along with all the other supplies.
