A survey by the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) shows a positive business outlook for the Reno Tahoe area. A majority of businesses report an increase in revenue and an expectation of hiring.

Reno-Tahoe surpassed global entrepreneurs with increases — 75% said their business increased revenue in the past six months and none experienced a decrease. This compares globally to results of 67% seeing an increase and 12% seeing decreases.

“This is great news for our region,” said Steve Conine, CEO of Talent Framework and Regional Communications Director for EO Global.  “We’re seeing some very encouraging signs from Reno Tahoe’s entrepreneurs, which is needed in our region.”

EO found that 71% of Reno-Tahoe entrepreneurs are looking forward to an increase in net profits in the coming six months. The survey also found:

  • 67% of entrepreneurs in Reno Tahoe increased their number of full-time employees in the past six months
  • 62% predicted they will continue increasing their full-time employees in the coming six months
  • 38% increased their number of part-time or contract employees during the past six months
  • 43% predicted they will increase the number of part-time or contract employees during the next six months.

EO Reno Tahoe is part of a global community of more than 9,500 entrepreneurs worldwide with companies exceeding $1 million in revenue. EO Reno Tahoe serves members who have a passionate desire to grow their businesses, to learn from their peers, and to share their experiences with others.
