Dine the District Food Tour set for Oct. 5

Oct5_dining_web_smallDine the District, a self-guided tour of Reno restaurants, runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 5. Guests will enjoy entertainment and culinary offerings from Reno-area restaurants, including the Wild River Grille, Java Jungle, West Street Wine Bar, Campo, Noble Pie Company, Fuego for Tapas & Vino and the Imperial Bar & Lounge. This is the second year for the event sponsored by the Reno Riverwalk Merchants Association. Proceeds will go toward continued development of the Riverwalk District in Reno.

“We hope this event will bring awareness, support and additional revenue for the businesses located in downtown Reno,” Rick Martinez, West Street Wine Bar owner and president of the Riverwalk Merchants, said.

Tickets bought in advance cost $20 or $25 the day of the event, and will be limited to 600. The event is free for children age 10 and younger.  Participants will need to present their ticket receipts to the Reno Tahoe Visitor Center inside the Reno eNVy store, 135 N. Sierra St., where they  will receive a food tour map as their formal admission to the self-guided tour.
