The city of Reno is proud to be one of the sponsors for this year’s National Championship Air Races.The National Championship Air Races roar across the Reno skies today through Sept. 15 at the Reno Stead Airport. It is five days of racing action with six classes of aircraft and speeds exceeding 500 mph. For more information about the National Championship Air Races visit their website at www.airrace.org.
On March 13, the Reno City Council approved $40,000 of in-kind sponsorship for city services for the event which will cover the costs associated with the Reno Fire, Police and Public Works Departments personnel, equipment and traffic control.
