Evening concerts continue at Lazy 5 Regional Park for two more Wednesdays

WASHOE COUNTY REGIONAL PARK NEWS RELEASE – Washoe County’s Lazy 5 Regional Park in Spanish Springs completes its ninth annual free Wednesday evening concert series this month, featuring the celtic bluegrass band Contraband on August 21, and The Bystanders with Katy Simon on August 28. Due to exceptional support from the community, this summer’s series was expanded to 12 concerts closing with the special performance by the Bystanders.

All concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings at the Lazy 5 Regional Park at 7100 Pyramid Way. Patrons can enjoy a free hamburger or hot dog courtesy of the series’ sponsor, Summit Christian Church, and raffle prizes will be offered during every show. For more information, call 775-823-6500.

Summit Christian Church is the series sponsor with program sponsors Western Village, NV Energy, and Desert Wind Homes. Co-sponsors include Laurie Brazier of State Farm, Pack N’ Post of Spanish Springs, First Independent Bank, Heritage Bank of Nevada, Simply Thai and Nevada Outdoorsman Unlimited.
