Twist the night away at Hot August Nights

3793290246_88f2bae3fbCIRCUS CIRCUS NEWS RELEASE – Circus Circus Reno invites one and all to the official Hot August Nights Sock Hop Wednesday, August 7 beginning at 5:00 p.m.! Join in the “Happy Days” for this themed event in the Mandalay Ballroom with great tunes, dancing, fun contests and delicious food. All ages are welcome!

Emcee services will be supplied by 103.7 FM, The River, Hot August Nights’ official radio station. They will be playing all your favorite tunes from the 50s, 60s and 70s and will also serve as judges for the always fun Limbo, Freeze Dance, Fonzie look-alike contest and the competition that has forced us to add dance floor space every year – the Hand-Jive dance off!

Great food specials will be available for purchase inside the event including a Sock Hop basket which includes a hamburger, French fries, and a soda. Other offerings include nachos, hot dogs and, of course, root beer floats!

Enjoy 1950s pricing with tickets for the Hot August Nights Sock Hop for only $5, or pay an extra $1 per ticket and get reserved seating. Ticket prices include tax. The money raised from reserved seating will be donated to the Hot August Nights Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at the Circus Circus Cashier’s Cage, by calling 789-5604 locally or 800-648-5010 out of area. Tickets can also be purchased at the door if there are still some available. This event usually sells out, so make sure to get your ticket early!
