Date:

miss-annies-art-class-198x300-1699209-6391077SIERRA ARTS FOUNDATION NEWS RELEASE – Miss Annie’s Art Class, for ages 6 and up, is getting into the patriotic spirit on Saturday, July 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sierra Arts Gallery, by creating art based on the American flag. There will be a range of materials for kids to experiment with and, as always, Miss Annie will make the time fly with fun for everyone.
This event is also inspired by the work of Sierra Arts Foundation 2013 Grants To Artists recipient Blanco de San Ramon. A Spanish artist, Blanco, is currently finishing his MFA thesis at UNR. His latest project, Faded Glory, portrays the mass-expression of American pride experienced by the artist almost after a decade of living in the United States. As part of the Grants To Artists exhibition at the gallery, 17 S. Virginia St. #120 in Reno, two of his pieces will be on display.
The art class is free for Sierra Arts Foundation members and $5 per child for non-members. If you are interested in becoming one please contact Membership and Operations Associate Jennifer Guerra at 775-329-2787, or fill out the secure online for at www.sierra-arts.org.
