GSR NEWS RELEASE

newgrandsierralogo-5205829-1635443Grand Sierra Resort will host Reno’s first ever “Silent Disco” party to celebrate breaking ground for construction on a new indoor pool nightclub. The Going Under Construction (GUC) Party featuring Silent Frisco will be Saturday, June 8, at 10 p.m. in the space formerly used by Mustang’s Dance Hall & Saloon.

Guests can dance the night away under black lights and lasers while listening to personal headphones featuring live music from some of the Bay Area’s top DJ talent. Admission is $10, and VIP bottle service is available.

Silent disco parties have risen in popularity in the last few years, especially in the United Kingdom. GSR’s Silent Frisco will bring the celebration to Reno, with a Bay Area twist, featuring DJ Shortkut, DJ Zeph, Motion Potion and VJ Danny Firpo. Each of these artists has achieved local fame in the Bay Area, and some have performed nationally, internationally and at festivals such as SXSW and Burning Man.

The GUC Party marks the beginning of construction on GSR’s newest nightspot, which will be a 23,500 square foot indoor swimming pool nightclub. One of the only properties of its kind, the to-be-named nightclub is part of more than $25 million in ongoing renovations taking place at GSR.
