Brower supports sex trafficking legislation

GREG BROWER NEWS RELEASE

CARSON CITY – Today Senator Greg Brower (R-Reno) expressed his support for AB 67, a bill introduced by Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto.  The bill is aimed at increasing the penalties for crimes involving the trafficking of persons for the commercial sex trade.

“I have had the opportunity to work with General Masto on this issue in my capacity as a member of Nevada’s Advisory Commission on the Administration of Justice.  I believe that AB 67 is a step in the right direction toward cracking down on the criminals who perpetrate these crimes,” said Brower.  “I look forward to working on this bill as it moves through the legislative process.”

Brower is the ranking Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  He previously served as Nevada’s chief federal prosecutor.
