ASUN Hosts Town Hall with Local Political Candidates – Tuesday, Oct. 23
6-8 p.m., Joe Crowley Student Union Ballrooms
Faculty, staff, students and the general public can learn more about political candidates running for office in the Reno-Sparks area during a town hall meeting. Candidates confirmed to attend include Teresa Benitez-Thompson, David Bobzien, Greg Brower, Skip Daly, David Espinosa, Ken Lightfoot, Debbie Smith, Tom Taber and Heidi Waterman. During the town hall meeting, a moderator will manage the discussion between the candidates and the public. The candidates will share their political platforms. After their initial remarks, the community will have an hour to ask questions of the candidates. The event is hosted by the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) Department of Legislative Affairs.

Clayton Middle School College Day Assembly – Thursday, Oct. 25
8 a.m., Clayton Middle School Auditorium, 1295 Wyoming Ave. in Reno
The University of Nevada, Reno’s student-owned store, the Nevada Wolf Shop, will give every student at Clayton Middle School a Nevada T-shirt, intended to help the nearly 700 students visualize themselves as college students. The presentation of T-shirts coincides with Clayton’s weekly “College Day,” and will include an assembly with Clayton Middle School and University representatives, the school’s band and an appearance by Wolf Pack mascot Alphie.

No classes; administrative offices closed.
