Assistance available for seniors and the disabled to help pay for prescriptions

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Senior Rx and Disability Rx program, which helps members with the cost of their prescription drugs, is accepting applications from low-income Seniors and individuals with disabilities.

To be eligible individuals must:

  • Be age 18-61 with a verifiable disability or age 62 or older.
  • Meet income limits of $26,836 for individuals and $35,773 for couples.
  • Nevada resident continuously for at least 12 months.

Medicare Eligible Individuals receive help with monthly Part D premiums and prescription coverage during the Part D coverage gap.  Individuals not eligible for Medicare have no monthly premium, no deductible and pay $10 for generic and $25 for brand name prescriptions.
