Reno residents and business owners to have one stop permit shop

Date:

CITY OF RENO NEWS RELEASE

Starting on Monday, the City of Reno’s Community Development will be joining the Business License Division on the second floor of Reno City Hall, creating the new Development and Business Service Center.

“This move will provide a greater one stop permit shop for our residents and business owners,” advised Fred Turnier, community development director. “In addition to increasing customer service, the move will also reduce city operating costs by consolidating services into a single building.”

The Development and Business Services Center provides the following services to our residents and business owners:

• Building permits
• Building inspection reservations
• Business licenses
• Code enforcement complaints
• Park facility reservations
• Parking ticket payments
• Planning and engineering services
• Records request
• Sewer payments

Business hours at the counter will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday in addition to the 24/7 online permit tracking. Customers can access City Hall directly from the third floor parking garage on Center Street. Oversized vehicle parking will be available on street adjacent to City Hall (see attached map/directions for more details).

The City of Reno Community Development Department strives to provide excellent service to our customers. Please let us know how we are doing as we make this transition by visiting www.reno.gov, selecting “Community Development” from the department drop-down menu, and selecting “Online Survey” from the options on the left.
