Thanks to the support of the community and renowned performance artist, Michael Israel, the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation and Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum raised $64,000 during the Birdies & Brushes art auction March 21. Nearly 200 people attended the exclusive fundraiser for the two non-profit organizations including Barrick Gold of North America’s BeBe Adams, who purchased a painting of Bill Raggio for more than $18,000 and then presented it as a gift to the late-Senator’s daughter, Leslie Righetti. The evening also included the donation of a custom-created painting valued at more than $3.5 million to The Discovery by Michael Israel.
