Yvonne Larkin announces community-focused, issue-based campaign for Assembly District 27

YVONNE LARKIN NEWS RELEASE

Nevada native Yvonne Larkin filed this week as a Republican candidate for Assembly District 27.

“I am tired of Nevadans losing jobs to other states and countries,” said Larkin. “Higher taxes and regulations kill jobs, and in this economy, Nevada must KEEP our businesses in business. We must ensure Nevada remains a job-friendly state, and that means a stable tax system that does not penalize job creation. Ensuring a business friendly state will draw much needed renewable energy, manufacturing, logistics and other industries that will diversify our economy.”

Larkin calls Reno her home. As a proud graduate of Reno High School, she has strong roots in Assembly District 27. As a mother, teacher, project manager and community volunteer, Larkin understands the problems facing our state’s education system.

Larkin looks forward to joining a strong Northern Nevada team with Senator Greg Brower and Assemblymen Pat Hickey and Randy Kirner, representing west Reno and into the North Valleys. Larkin appreciates and admires their commitment to fiscal discipline and service to their districts.

“I grew up here and have lived in Nevada for many years and know the hardships we have all endured these past years,” Larkin said. “We must introduce critical legislation that is necessary to reduce energy costs for established businesses and ensure new businesses move to Northern Nevada.”

“This campaign is about our community. I not only look forward to meeting all of the voters in Assembly District 27 as we talk about the issues that really matter to our community, but I encourage the residents of AD 27 to visit my website and share their input about the issues that really matter and things we can do to get our community back on track.”
