NV SENATE REPUBLICAN CAUCUS NEWS RELEASE

FALLON – The Nevada Senate Republican Caucus today endorsed Vick Gill, MD, R-Las Vegas, for State Senate District 9.

“Vick Gill is a small business owner who will bring his experience creating jobs and balancing budgets to state government,” said Nevada Senate Minority Leader Mike McGinness, R-Fallon. “The Senate Republican Caucus is excited to work with Vick over the course of the election cycle and we look forward to his success in November,” continued McGinness.

Senator Michael Roberson, R-Henderson, was appointed last year to serve as campaign chairman for the Nevada Senate Republicans.

“Vick Gill will make a great addition to the Nevada State Senate,” Senator Roberson said. “I am very impressed with Vick and know his experience in the private sector creating jobs will be an asset to the state of Nevada,” continued Roberson.

Sen. Joe Hardy, R-Boulder City, is the only doctor currently serving in the Nevada legislature.

“Nevada has many complicated healthcare issues,” said Hardy. “It will be nice to have another doctor serving in the legislature who understands the obstacles facing our healthcare system. I look forward to working with Dr. Gill over the course of the coming months,” continued Hardy.

Gill, a small business owner, began his career in healthcare management after receiving his medical degree from Xavier University. As a managing partner of CVR Management, Gill employs over 65 people. CVR Management is a privately held company that owns an ob-gyn practice and a farming operation.
