DAVID WARD NEWS RELEASE

Today long-time Reno resident and business leader David Ward announced his candidacy for the non-partisan Reno City Council, at-large position.

“I grew up here. My wife, Shannon, and I chose to raise our children here,” Ward said. “I love this city, and I’m very concerned about the economic challenges we face. I’m running to be part of the solution, to make sure future generations enjoy those same opportunities and quality of life.”

Ward has worked full time in media and communications in Northern Nevada for more than 30 years. As owner-manager of E Media Ad Group, he will use his marketing and business-building knowledge and expertise to help develop and foster a stronger economy for Reno and northwestern Nevada. At the same time, he will help build and improve on Reno’s image in both national and international markets.

Ward will partner with local business, government, education and non-profit officials to build a brighter future and a stronger economy for all.

Ward is a past president of Reno Central Rotary, the Reno Executive’s Association and the Reno Ad Club. He served as chair of Nevada’s Mental Health and Developmental Services Commission and currently serves as vice chair of non-profit Disability Resources.
