Senate Republican Caucus endorses Senator Greg Brower

STATE SENATE REPUBLICAN CAUCUS NEWS RELEASE

Las Vegas – The Nevada Senate Republican Caucus today endorsed State Senator Greg Brower, R-Reno, as he seeks election to a full term in the Nevada State Senate.

Senate Minority Leader Mike McGinness said that he was pleased with Brower’s decision to seek a full term in the Senate and is proud to support his campaign. “Greg was such a great asset to our caucus last session,” stated McGinness. “Greg’s leadership in Carson City helped prevent a tax on Nevadans of over a billion dollars. Washoe County is fortunate to be represented by such a strong advocate for education and fiscal responsibility.”

Brower was unanimously selected in January 2011 by the Washoe County Commission to replace Senator Bill Raggio, who retired last year. Brower will seek to represent the residents of the newly created Senate District 15, which includes West Reno, Mogul, Verdi, Sun Valley and much of the North Valleys.

Sen. Michael Roberson, campaign chairman for the Nevada Senate Republicans, stressed the importance of retaining Brower as a member of the caucus. “Greg stands up for what’s right,” said Roberson. “He’s committed to improving schools for our children and will fight for common sense policies that will put Nevadans back to work.”

Brower lives in Reno with his wife and their two teenage daughters.
