Reno Running Company to open at The Summit

Date:

SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Reno’s premiere running specialty store, Reno Running Company, will join the diverse shopping options at The Summit Lifestyle Center at the end of September.

“We are excited to be adding a technical running store to The Summit,” said Larry Hunt, property manager. “Reno Running Company will offer products and services that are in high demand throughout the northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe communities.”

Locally owned and operated, Reno Running Company will offer a wide range of footwear, casual and active apparel, triathlon accessories and swim wear. The store will feature nationwide brands such as Nike, Saucony, Asics, Northface, Brooks and more.

Reno Running Company will also be the first store in the Reno-Sparks area to offer free video gait analysis. When a customer comes into the store looking for a pair of running shoes, the shopper has the opportunity to run on a treadmill allowing Reno Running Company’s expert staff to analyze their foot strike, allowing for a more accurate and customized fitting. This technology and expertise helps reduce injuries and provides education on the best footwear a person needs for their personal running experience.

“We support a healthy lifestyle and we wanted to open this store so that we can assist those in the community in achieving their active lifestyle goals,” says Aimee Balzer, Reno Running Company owner.

Once open, the store plans to sponsor existing running events in the area as well as create new opportunities for runners in the Reno-Sparks area. They plan to partner with Washoe County schools and local organizations to provide education and group running experiences. Reno Running Company is expected to open in late September and will occupy 5,689 square feet between GameStop and Buckle. The store will be hiring around 10 employees. Interested applicants can send their resumes to [email protected].
