Monday’s hours for Family Assistance Center for air race incident

The Family Assistance Center established to aid in the identification and location of victims of Friday’s incident at the Reno Championship Air Races will close this evening at 8 p.m.

It will be reopened tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center is located at the Hyatt Place Hotel at 1790 East Plumb Lane, directly across the street from the Reno Tahoe International Airport.

The Washoe County Medical Examiner at the Family Assistance Center will be taking reports of missing persons and will be working with the identification of victims. The center will also offer access to counseling services. The American Red Cross also has representatives at the Family Assistance Center.

People searching for missing family members or reporting a missing person should come to the Family Assistance Center during those hours. For information and help outside those hours please call 211. From outside the 775 area code, people should call 775-784-8085.
