Northern Nevada’s Advertising Community Gathers for Annual ADDY(R) Awards

Date:

The ADDY® Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing and rewarding creative excellence in the art of advertising. This year’s local awards show takes place at the California Building at Idlewild Park on Friday, March 4, 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The ADDY® Awards are the first step toward national recognition in one of the country’s most prestigious creative advertising showcases. Leading creative professionals are brought in from outside the area to provide unbiased evaluation of the local work with only the best pieces advancing to the regional and then national competitions.

Selection of the most creative entry in each category is affected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. In each category, a GOLD ADDY® recognizes the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the competition. Entries that are also considered outstanding and worthy of recognition receive a SILVER ADDY®. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on their opinions of the quality of work in that category.

With nearly 400 entries received this year, agencies and marketing departments of all sizes will be in attendance to celebrate. Long time advertising executive and TV personality Bob Carroll will be the master of ceremonies.

California Building at Idlewild Park is located at 75 Cowan Drive 89509 (just off Idlewild Drive). Ticket prices are $50 prepaid online, $60 at the door, and $25 for students. Heavy appetizers served. For more information, please visit www.aafreno.com.
