Griffin Global Logistics Expands Bay Area Office to Meet Client Needs

Despite the economic downturn, Griffin Global Logistics, a supply chain company based in Reno, Nev., has continued to see national success with creative supply chain solutions for its clients. This success has led to the announcement that Griffin Global Logistics will expand and upgrade its customs and compliance office in Burlingame, Calif., next to San Francisco, to support additional operational and sales objectives in the Bay Area market.

“Griffin Global Logistics is excited to announce the expansion of our operations in the San Francisco area,” said Russ Romine, president of Griffin Global Logistics.  “The expansion will help support growing demand for our logistics services in the Silicon Valley, as well as opportunities in the greater northern California market.”

Originally opened in 2007 as a dedicated United States customs brokerage office, the San Francisco office has expanded its role within Griffin Global Logistics to include all United States and foreign customs brokerage and clearance functions, management of inland transportation and delivery, and international transportation compliance management.

The expansion will also lead to Griffin Global Logistics creating jobs in the Bay area as they will be adding additional sales and operations staff.

“The bay area is a key market for us as it is a major west coast port location, especially on inbound goods from Asia,” said Romine. “There is also a strong labor pool of experienced logistics and brokerage professionals in the Bay area that gives us an exceptional workforce that will make this expansion successful.”

The Griffin Global Logistics’ office will move into its new office located at 1818 Gilbreth Rd. location in Burlingame, on Jan. 1, 2011.
