Women’s soccer: Pack falls to Boise State

block_n-2301925-4315608BOISE, Idaho – The University of Nevada soccer team fell at Boise State 2-0 on Sunday.

With the loss, Nevada fell to 4-9 overall and 2-1 in the Western Athletic Conference while Boise State improved to 7-5-4 and 2-2 in the WAC.

The Broncos scored their first goal of the match in the 73rd minute as Brandy Hickcox scored an unassisted goal.  Boise State stuck again in the 86th minute as Erica Parks scored on a volley off an assist from Shannon Saxton.

Boise State outshot Nevada 27-4 in the match, including an 10-1 advantage in shots on goal. Jill Erickson led Nevada with two shots.

Nevada keeper Marie Cove made eight saves in 90 minutes while Liz Ruiz made one in 90 minutes for Boise State.

The Pack will play host San Jose State on Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. and Fresno State on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.
