The Wolf Pack open the season next weekend at the two-day Western Athletic Conference Shootout being hosted by San Jose State, Oct. 9-10. The Pack will be under the direction of third-year head coach Mike Richmond who has led the Pack to the last two WAC titles and was an assistant with the 2007 championship squad. Veteran diving coach Jian Li You returns for her 14th season of directing the diving program. Both have garnered WAC Coach of the Year honors during their time at Nevada.

The three-time WAC Champions will be looking to make it four in a row this season and return a solid nucleus led by 2008 WAC Swimmer of the Year Margaret Doolittle. The team also returns 14 athletes that competed at the WAC Championships a year ago.
